The eve of my 40th birthday!

Well for starters it would seem I am not finishing off my 30's very well since my blogger account seems to have been blocked because they think I may be a spammer!

I feel sad :(

Today so far… up this morning and I made a cooked breakfast as a treat. Called up to the kids ‘Breakfast is ready in 10 minutes’ to give them a few minutes to get their act together and down the stairs, first reaction was from Lyn who called back, ‘What type of breakfast?’ second from Hannah, ‘Huummmpphhh!’ Needless to say I didn’t answer either remarks.

So they appeared, it was like morning of the living dead and scoffed the eggs, sausage, bacon, and croissants I had made. Nice pot of fresh coffee and a girlie natter in the morning was kinda nice. I left them to tidy up knowing full well they wouldn’t half do it, while I went to get ready for work. I usually have a lesson at noon on a Sunday but this week I had said I would pick her up 15 minutes early and drop her off to work. Duh! I forgot so will add the time to her next lesson, I just hate when I do that. Lesson over, I return to the living dead who have now made it back upstairs to get dressed. Kitchen kinda sorted with the exception of the greasy grill pan and odds and ends still sitting about.

The girls were picked up about 2 ish by their Dad for their usual Sunday afternoon 4 hours of ‘quality fathering’ which quite often consists of a whole lot of nothingness. Today however, what fun, he is taking them to get L’s IPod which she should have got for Christmas but apparently it was ‘in the post’ Jeeeeeeezzzzeeeeee those ruddy postmen have a lot to answer for! Things have improved slightly with him taking them out for instance now he FEEDS them! H was so hungry one time she was up at his building site of a house that she ended up eating something weird like sugar and drinking chocolate because there was sod all else in the house. I should explain that ‘M’ my xh lives in his girlfriend’s ‘D’ house and after his father died he bought the family home from his Mother and is now ripping it to pieces and doing it up with the view to them all moving in, by all I mean D and her children with rooms or a room and a shared room for our children to come and visit. It has only taken him almost 7 years to get to the point where his kids can actually go and stay with him.

So I am pondering what to do with my last day being 39, I have paperwork to sort, tidying up to do, a dog to walk, photos to sort. Meh!

I had typed all that out earlier so I could paste it in here. I ended up taking the dog to the beach for a walk, of course the water was her first port of call. We had fun, I bought my camera and took photos of her. I had to bath her and ended up with half the beach in the bottom of my bath, hence the photo which will eventually accompany today's blog.

So dinner as usual with my parents, kids were already there by the time I got there, L seemed pleased with her ipod and H got a memory card for her camera. So more ironing and some more clothes put away. My life as a 39 year old is 1 hour away from being over!

How do I feel, no different than I did last year or the year before that. I guess it just seems like another number although it was odd when I started to get cards which say 40 on them. I keep wondering if they refer to my bra size!

Bon nuit
