Early start to this morning as H and I had to be at the hairdressers for 8.45! Hair cut and straightened and a delighted daughter with her slightly new look. (she kinda has a fringe bit now at the front) We then set off in search of ski goggles which she kept insisting that she didn't need but I persuaded her otherwise with the help of our ski experienced hairdresser who incidentally offered to lend her his. He tend to buy expensive stuff and I really didn't fancy forking out 80 quid to replace them so I said I would buzz him if we were stuck. Met a guy from camera club along the way who also offered to loan her a pair and suggested a place we could get some. So goggles eventually bought and packed.
Quick visit to my parents to say farewell, grabbed a bowl of soup with them and headed back home for some last minute packing and preps. H got showered and clowned about the house for a while wearing her towel and a bra over the top! She started to become more and more excited and at one point said she was excited but pooping herself at the same time.
So not long back from leaving her to the school, she gave us a wave from the back of the bus, she had sent me a text as I stood on the pavement to let me know she was at the back! On the way back to the house I got a text saying she forgot her spare socks for the plane! She has a case full of them so I have no doubt she will be able to fish a pair out before the cases go through.
Kinda strange... my kids have probably travelled more in their short lives than I ever have. Perhaps that will change.
Out tonight with my girlie friends, need to go pamper!
