A cat with 8 lives.

Driving home tonight I almost killed a cat, kinda made me wonder why we automatically put a cats life before we really consider who might be affected by harsh braking. Of course being the careful driver I am I did actually know there was nothing close behind me but it is odd how your natural instinct is to not kill this hairy little beastie.

My pupil passed his test today, nice guy lost his licence because he thought he was being sensible by leaving his car behind and going back the next day to pick it up and was stopped, breathalysed and found to be just over the limit. You would think he was a man who had just had the weight of the world lifted off his shoulders when he got his pass. I was pleased for him especially since he has a 12 week old baby and really needed the car for work and I have no doubt that he will never make the same mistake twice.

My flowers from my birthday are well I can't say dying because the second they were cut they were already dead but they are dropping their petals and starting to look a bit sorry for themselves. Odd how we give dead flowers as a gift to people we love the odder still how generally they love to receive dead flowers. They were lilies, one of my favourite flowers although I may not be saying that tomorrow when I get around to cleaning them up and end up with that horrible orange dye all over my hands.

Oh and my dead fridge will be layed to rest tomorrow when its sprightly young counterpart arrives, I can't wait to have chilled food again even though £490 is a hell of a sting in the pants!

Needs must.

So dead and dying, success and rebirth.
