Momma's day & Momma's buying!

The girls appeared in this morning with pressies and a card, I got a photography book, a box of novelty band aid plasters, a giant bubble maker and a VW Camper van mug. We decided to go out for breakfast and oddly enough the girls couldn't find their purses. :) Anyways breakfast was lovely in Maggie Mays on the Dublin Road and afterwards we called into a Vintage clothing fair in The Black Box.

The girls went out with their Dad in the afternoon, he was very late coming for them which kinda kept me late getting to meet someone, with the result that we missed each other.  I took the dog for a quick romp around Lady Dixon park. It was a lovely sunny afternoon. Mums for dinner and then a little visit to the hospital to see a relative.

My poor father woke at 2am and then couldn't get back to sleep when he started to recall the near miss we had with the ambulance. He went over and over it in his head and said he really doesn't know how I managed to get stopped as quick and without having a head on collision with it. I think the general consensus is that we should complain. I did think about this and on one hand those guys do one hell of a job and I would hate to see anyone lose their job, after years of training. At the same time the driver of the vehicle almost wiped out three generations of one family and could also possibly have killed themselves and their passenger. So yes dangerous driving like that from a professional really cannot be tolerated. While you would like to think if you had called them they would be doing everything in their power to get to you asap you would also hate to think that people had died in that effort. I must admit a few times today I also thought back on what had happened and got that stomach shrinking feeling.
