I can stand the rain upon my window pane...

... that has got to be one of the nicest sounds when you are safely tucked up in bed or warm and snug in the house. Well for me it is, maybe not everyones cup of tea but there is something very soothing about it. Perhaps it takes me back to family caravan holidays when predictably for Northern Ireland it always rains during holidays.

Took Mum shopping today, Dad was watching the football. One minute he seems to be in good form and then next he is snapping the head off someone. I am a little bit worried about him right now, he had a chest X-ray a few weeks ago and tonight Mum showed me a few pages from it. Seems his heart wasn't functioning as it should which would have explained why he was breathless going up the stairs and also he had a bit of fluid around his lung. Apparently that has cleared up a bit but even so it is a bit of a worry. Dad has always been the sort that if he takes a headache he is convinced he has a brain tumor, a pain in his stomach and it is some sort of cancer. I just see a change in him, a slowing down.
