Today was my last day 'Dad sitting' mum arrived home tonight, I had an exhibition and lecture to attend so wasn't there to welcome her back although that was probably a good thing since my sil left her home (we kinda don't talk much).
The exhibition was good although some of the photos especially some which seemed to be repetitions of the same subject, i.e., three photos of the same tree lined road, kinda left me wondering whether or not they really should have chosen a couple of different ones. Our club submitted several photos but unfortunately none got through.
Chris Weston, wild life photographer gave a talk afterwards about an exhibition which was also on at the same venue. It was very interesting and he has captured some wonderful images. I do wonder however given the right equipment and the opportunity he obviously has could any reasonable photographer do as good a job. I guess his love for the animals did show through and his conservation issues. There was a lengthy question and answer interview going on during which I felt myself slip several times into that warm head on desk primary school feeling. I did keep my eyes open but they were starting to do that wobbly 'I wanna close' thing. It made for an interesting and informative night.
Called at Granny and Grandas expecting to pick H up and bring her home only to find she was already home, apparently she couldn't keep her eyes open and Granda ran her home. Strange how when we got home she was sitting in the middle of the hall with the laptop connected to the router and had been on msn. She then took a strop when I gave off about her causing Granda an unnecessary journey out when we could have brought her home. I suspect the lure of MSN/boys was too much for her.
Mmmm might make for an interesting Tuesday if she is still in a strop.
